We are looking to hire an exemplary associate minister to assist the lead Pastor by taking on
particular ministerial duties and responsibilities. These duties will involve overseeing our
church's middle and high school students; our college ministry; assisting the lead pastor in
pastoral ministry; and assisting in administrative tasks.
To be successful in this position, you need to provide students with a place to belong that gives
them the courage to be different and resilient to unhealthy peer pressure. Ideal candidates should
have a proficient understanding of the challenges young people face and are compassionate.

Associate Minister Requirements:
 Evident relationship with Jesus Christ.
 Godly character as described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
 Bachelor's degree in theology, biblical studies, or youth ministry.
 Previous youth ministry experience is an advantage.
 Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of young people.
 Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with social media.
 Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
 Excellent organizational skills.
 A flexible spirit
 Humility
 A willingness to serve where needed
 Affinity for young people.
 Ability to lead by example.
 Available to work extended hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on
short notice.
General Associate Minister Responsibilities:
 Attending and participating in staff meetings.
 Overseeing, growing, and coordinating the church's youth ministry.
 Designing, overseeing, and examining curriculum for all programs, events, and classes.
 Leading middle and high school students to encourage their spiritual growth.
 Interacting with students during Sunday services.
 Developing positive relationships with students and their parents.
 Sharing program plans through social media.
 Displaying a Christ-like approach and lifestyle, and praying regularly for young people in
the church and community.
 Incorporating youth into various church ministries for His use.
 Growing students who are interested in the knowledge of God and His Word.
 Developing and sustaining a discipleship program that engages with college students
 Assisting The lead Pastor in pastoral duties such as: occasional preaching; visitations;
crisis calls; weddings; funerals; etc.
 Required to attend weekly staff meeting and be prepared to update Lead Pastor and
additional staff members with a report on the status of the youth ministry department.
 In addition to weekly staff meeting the youth minister will be responsible to meet weekly
with the Lead Pastor, one on one, for spiritual accountability and training.
 In addition to youth ministry responsibilities, any additional workload for the general
welfare of the church and its mission may be required (e.g. administrative
responsibilities, visitations, funerals, weddings, discipleship, event coordination, etc.).

Sonrise Christian Church is seeking a full time person to lead our congregation into a closer walk with Jesus Christ, through music ministry.  We are looking for someone who has a solid doctrinal background, teaching and relational skills across all age groups, organizational and leadership abilities, and a character that is exemplary.  
Duties will include the following:

• Oversee the worship team and lead music for Sunday service
• Coordinate with Lead Pastor to organize and construct a service around the series theme
• Work along-side the Lead Pastor and Elders to set forth the ongoing vision and goals for the church.
• Have an ongoing desire to be more like Christ.
• College degree preferred in ministry
• Heavy church involvement in current church
• Experience leading teens and/or adults in Bible study or small groups
• Ability to construct a sermon and preach
• Worship leading/Ability to play an instrument & A/V experience 
• Willingness to help lead small groups and bible studies is a huge plus.
